Rhonda and John aka Periwrinkles Chinese Shar-Pei

 Periwrinkles Shar-Pei Chinese Shar-Pei Breeder in Ontario Canada, has been active with the Chinese Shar-Pei breeding and showing, since around 1987, at which time we owned, and showed our dogs and puppies.  My beautiful Sado or O-kees Ro-dos Shishado, was my first love and  sadly passed due to an unfortunate auto accident. Some of my foundation puppies lived to 17 years of age and were foundation stock to other breeders.

In 1988 we were fortunate to have the opportunity to purchase, co-own and show, the beautiful black horse coat  National American Champion "BISS CH Alpha The Headliner" The 1987 National Best of Breed Winner, from Pam and Mike Litz, of The Alpha Kennel, along with Ch. Alpha Moshu Spendabuck" a beautiful cream brush coat, which added color, health and type into our program. We fell in love with black. I was at that time, Secretary and Editor of the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of Canada.  We  also then and now, belong to the AKC, CKC, Chinese Shar-Pei Club of Canada and Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America.

I took some time away from the shar-pei community to raise my children and business, and have since,  returned back to my passion, with a commitment again, to the betterment of the breed, both in health, type and standard, and hopefully the insides will match the beauty of the outside and bring longevity to our dogs and puppies.

Upon our return, we searched pedigrees , breeders and type far and wide, to find  those we were most satisfied with.

Our Cello and 8Ball go back to our original bitch and her lines.

John and I both love to show and the last 10 years, John has become known in the show ring, showing our dogs.  He has worked very hard to promote breeder handling and showing. As well a big thanks to all the judges along the way that recognized the beauty and standard in our dogs, their showing  and judging skills are very much appreciated.

We have worked hard  selling, co-owning, showing and handling our dogs in the United States, and Canada, as well, providing a very healthy breeding stock, and our beautiful show dogs have also worked hard. Thank you to all that have worked together for the betterment of the breed we love.

We look forward to all the future shows,   including the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show , yearly which we attend.

 8 Ball has made the top 25 nationals in the US and won #1 two years in a row.  Eight Ball  Canada's most winningest Chinese Shar-pei .She's beat every record any Chinese Shar-Pei ever had in Canada. She's the first shar-Pei that got her grand champion gold.. She has now retired except for veterans shows, and has just enjoyed her 9th birthday. 

We continue our wins with our dogs as we move forward, with our new champions in both Canada and United States.
